2016 is the third year of Health Care Family Credit Union’s Scholarship program. We couldn’t be happier with the applications we received. While we can only pick three winners, many applicants are doing great things to help their communities and we believe they have bright futures ahead of them.
Congratulations to the winners of Health Care Family Credit Union’s scholarships:
Lauryn Hudson – Future Health Care Provider Scholarship
Lauryn will be attending Xavier University of Louisiana this fall as a pre-med student. She has been a Special Olympics volunteer and made the honor roll for all 4 years of high school. She is active in her church and other community organizations. Lauryn’s ultimate goal is to become a pediatric cardiologist.
Carolyn Vossenkemper – Karen Kenney Scholarship
Carolyn will be attending Southeast Missouri State University in the fall with a focus on education. Carolyn has accumulated more than 300 community service hours, and made the honor roll for all 4 years of high school. She was also a National Honor Society member from 2014 – 2016, and captain of her high school cheerleading team. Carolyn would like to be a teacher and return to the St. Charles area after graduating from college.
Alyson Voelkerding – Health Care Education Continuance Scholarship
Alyson is currently attending the University of Missouri St. Louis. She first worked as a teacher, but has realized a calling to the health care industry. She is the founder of her own non-profit organization, and would like to become a nurse who focuses on pediatric patients. Alyson showed incredible passion for nursing through her essay and even more in person.
