Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is my username and password for Mobile Deposit?  As an additional security feature, Virtual Branch and Mobile Deposit are accessed separately.  You can use similar usernames if you like, but you will need to enroll for Mobile Deposit separately.  Common password protocol calls for not using the same password for multiple logins.

Q:  Do I need to sign my check a certain way to use Mobile Deposit?  Yes. You must use a special endorsement in order for submitted items to be approved.  The phrase, "For HCFCU Mobile Deposit Only" must be used in addition to the signature of the payee in order for the item to be approved for Mobile Deposit.

Q:  How quickly are my funds available?  Funds will appear in your account no more than 24 hours after your "deposit" has been approved, provided there are no issues with your item/deposit.  You will be notified by email if/when your item is approved or rejected and if there are any issues with your item.  Funds submitted for deposit are subject to check holds, just as they would be if presented in a branch.  For checks larger than $200:  $200 will be available as soon as funds are deposited to your account, while the remaining amount will automatically be placed on a hold.  Our staff will review each transaction daily to determine if check holds should be removed or extended.  You can request the removal of a hold, but that request is not guaranteed to be granted.

Q:  Is there a limit to how many checks and/or the amount I can deposit?  Yes. Health Care Family Credit Union has established limits to both the amount of items and amount per item.  You can request limits be increased, but Health Care Family Credit Union reserves the right to set specific limits for each user.  The default limits are:  $1,000 maximum deposit amount per day; a maximum of 10 items per day; a maximum of $1,000 per item; a 30 day rolling limit of $3,000.

Q:  I'm seeing a password validation error.  What are the requirements for the password?  Your password must follow these requirement:  1) 8-40 characters; 2) One uppercase letter; 3) One number; 4) One special character.

Q:  Is there a fee for using Mobile Deposit?  Yes.  there is a fee of 50 cents per item deposited through Mobile Deposit.

Processing Deadlines & Funds Availability:

Any image transmitted to Mobile Deposit by 3:30 p.m. Central time on a business day (Monday through Friday) will be considered for acceptance that business day; an image transmitted after 3:30 p.m. Central time will be considered for acceptance on the next business day.  We will make our determination concerning whether or not to accept the image for deposit by 4 p.m. Central time, and you will be notified at the time we make our decision.  Accepted images will be credited to the account by 8:00 p.m. Central time.  You understand and agree that deposits of Images via transmission to Mobile Deposit may not be available for immediate withdrawal, and we may withhold the availability of funds from the deposited image.  Any hold placed on a deposit transmitted via Mobile Deposit will be done so in accordance with our Funds Availability Policy Disclosure.  Solely for the determination of any applicable hold, an image will be deemed a "check" as that term is used in our Funds Availability Policy Disclosure.
