Scholarship Winners

The second year of awarding scholarships has come and gone.  We received many outstanding applications, and appreciate the time and effort of everyone who applied.  Many applicants are doing great things to help their communities, and we believe they have bright futures ahead of them.

Congratulations to the winners of Health Care Family Credit Union's scholarships:

Future Health Care Providers Scholarship - Alexandra Vossenkemper

Alexandra has plans to attend Southern Illinois University,Future Health Care Provider Scholarship Edwardsville in the fall to begin her work towards a Masters Degree in nursing.  Her ultimate goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  Throughout her high school career, Alexandra accumulated an extensive list of extra-curricular activities and volunteer experience.  Her volunteer hours exceed 500.

Health Care Education Continuance Scholarship - Kelli McKee

Kelli has already completed a Masters of Art in Music Therapy degree.  She is working towards completing her certification for Hospice and Palliative Care Music Therapy through the Center for Music Therapy in End of Life Care.  Kelli has also created a music therapy program for SSM Hospice.  The program is called Peaceful Harmony.

Karen Kenney Scholarship - William Gallagher

William will attend Missouri University of Science and Technology in the fall with the ultimate goal of becoming an electrical engineer.  He said he wants to create energy efficiency solutions.  Throughout high school William was involved in musical theater, choir and a mentorship program.
